About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have fun and educate others about my city and to learn, learn, learn.

ABOUT ME

I am an old man and a New York historian and licensed tour guide (although I have always offered my services on a volunteer basis, not commercially). I have served for many years as Host for Servas, a United Nations peace organization. I sometimes cannot fix an exact schedule even one day in advance. Short notice and last-minute notice suit me best. My kitchen is available to everyone, but I do not provide meals and do not share my computer. I try to invite visitors only when I have time for visiting; and, like many others, I do not invite unverified travelers (although occasionally, but rarely, I make exceptions). One last note: PLEASE DO NOT BRING GIFTS (except yourselves)!
Mr. London

PHILOSOPHY: Cherish your friends young and old; they are both silver and gold.

Music, Movies, and Books

Various kinds of music and movies and reading, mostly classics and documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to think about!

Teach, Learn, Share

There is so much to know. Every day I learn something new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can and do offer years of experience showing visitors my city. I do not like to think of CouchSurfing as a "help-the-needy" organization; and, although I am happy to be able to help travelers save hostel costs, I hope my guests are not looking solely for a place to sleep. Children are welcome if accompanied by adults. My kitchen is open to everyone, but I do not serve meals and do not share my computer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Iceland, United Kingdom, United States
