About Me

Connect with many people all over the world! Try the local cuisine in every country!

I love cooking, sharing, teaching, learning, collecting things, singing, music making, dancing, laughing, playing with animals, and traveling!

Si tu fait le bien, tu trouveras le bien.

"Do not be so sweet that people will eat you up, nor so bitter that they will spit you out."
-Pashto Folk saying

Food is life. Good food (organic, sustainable, local) = good life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been couchsurfing for the past couple of years now, both abroad and at home in California, and it's easy to say that it has totally changed my life. Couchsurfing for me is the best way to meet local people and really get to know a place. Now, I'm taking a year off to travel the world and meet people, using Couchsurfing every step of the way!

I have hosted couch surfers at my co-op in Santa Barbara and the experience was awesome. I have couch surfed in Amsterdam (with surfers I met at my co-op!), France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Andorra, Morocco, England, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. I love couchsurfing!

Food, fresh fruits and veggies, organic farms, animals!, playing with kids, colors, music of all kinds, drumming, guitar, jamming, free styling, poetry slams, the sun, baking, film photography, massages, yoga, thé à la menthe marocain, herbal medicines, the 1960's and before, old films, trees and nature, running, skiing, kayaking, skating, biking, swimming- its all about moving yo bod-ay! also loving and being loved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in the gorgeous Atlas mountains of Morocco with a berber family in their tiny village. The people of that village were the nicest, most generous people I've ever met. I will go back someday and stay much longer :)
I think traveling is pretty amazing:

Teach, Learn, Share

We really don't need as much as we think we do. Learn to live with less, giving feels good and its so much simpler to travel with less. I try as much as possible to use less water, energy, clothing, and food even.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Philippines, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
