About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life, mainly.

ABOUT ME

Well, I can begin by saying that I am an introvert, so I'm not much of a talker at first.

Otherwise, I like everyone and I accept people for who they are no problem. I am artistic, I play music and I love writing. I'm a bit geeky and I am known to dungeon master a game or two of DnD (albeit with loose rules.)

I love cooking more than anything, so you can expect me to try and cook something up for you, if you'll accept.

I'd like to think I'm adventurous, but doesn't everyone want to think that? But besides that, I'm a pretty happy person who enjoys life and books.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I've had a simple goal to achieve daily for the past few years and it is to make at least one person smile and/or laugh each day. I guess that could tell you a bit about my philosophy.

Oh, and I nearly forgot. I'm known for saying "I'll try anything once." A friend reminded me of that philosophy!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I'd like to do a bit of hosting, but I haven't had the chance to do so yet. But here I am, offering my place!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have none.

Interests

Well, I am interested in arts of all kinds, writing, music, painting and so on. I'm also in love with food and cooking for others, also baking.

I absolutely love books too, I often find myself wishing I had more space so that I could buy more without feeling bad that they're... all over the place.

I'm also into things like Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings.... All kinds of things that a lot of people classify as nerdy, which I don't mind.

Oh, and I have a very special interest in languages, although I don't know many myself. Sociolinguistics are also rather intriguing.

Music, Movies & Books

Movies: Boondock Saints, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Usual Suspects, 80s teen movies (Back to the Future, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink etc) and I'm a bit of a sucker for romantic comedies.

Music: Gaelic Storm, Bob Dylan, Flogging Molly, Brand New, Placebo, Rammstein, Pearl Jam, Anthrax.

Books: Pride and Prejudice, Emma, The Time Machine, 1984, anythign by Kurt Vonnegut that I've gotten my hands on.

These lists are tiny compared to how much I like, so I just chose things at the top of my head.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Gee, I honestly don't know. I can't think of anything at the moment other than little things that have amazed me, such as a boy giving me his fish when we went fishing, because I couldn't catch one myself. That kind of stuff sticks with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what I could teach really, basic Icelandic? I do try to teach my friends how to cook when they want to learn, so I could also do that. And show you the wonders of Icelandic pancakes!

I'd like to learn about where you come from and how it's different than over here.

Countries I've Visited

Denmark, Spain, Sweden

Countries I've Lived In

Denmark, Iceland, United States
