To love life and have fun
Currently starting my second year of my Master's degree in Kinesiology. Pushing hard to get it done so I can get out and enjoy the world again.
Aside from that, I currently teach a course at SFU in Vancouver, teach skating and hockey to both kids and adults, and coach a 11-12 year peewee hockey team. I like to keep things busy, that way I'm never bored!
Work hard, play hard. I put a lot of effort into the things I do. Feeling very accomplished when I get them done. And when they're done, I like to celebrate!
I always try to see the best in things. It makes everything have a much better outlook.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have yet to host anyone. Don't have a whole lot of space as of yet (but hope to change that soon!). I do hope to surf some couches on my next outing! I'll always be down to meet up for a drink or bask in some of the most amazing mountains (skiing in the winter, hiking/ mountain biking in the summer) and beaches around.
New to CouchSurfers, no experience yet...
Sports: Hockey, soccer, football, golf
I make my own beer, so if you stop by at the right time you might get a bottle or 3!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Any and all. I listen to music based on my mood. Country is best in the summer sunlight. House/electro after dark. Mix anything else into the mix at any given time. RHCP, Black Keys, Metric, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Mumford & Sons, and tons of non-mainstream groups.
Books: Enjoy my fantasy. Song of Ice and Fire are the best!! George R R Martin is a genious!! Currently reading Pillars of the Earth
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sun rise at Ankor Wat... stunning
New Years in the water on the beach in Jaco, Costa Rica looking back into the land. Fireworks stretching a kilometer. Best New Years ever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope almost everyone caught a glimpse of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. I was lucky enough to live them. I've played hockey, taught hockey, and coached hockey. Let's share some knowledge. I'm also a pretty big geek. Love reading and learning, espcially anything neuro. Nerding-out is just great.
Clearly, still being in school at 26, I love to learn. Teach me anything novel, I'll be happy!
