100% Hongkonger/Hongkie/Hongkongese whatever it's called. I grow up and live in this small, crowded yet beautiful city. Spent 5 years studying in England, which changes me a lot. A mix of many Chinese and western things is in my identity I guess.
I am loud and quiet, at least I laugh loud.
I get emotionally high easily.
I drink plain hot water.
I am born in the Year of Horse and I am a Sagittarius.
I failed the exam in Chinese in high school.
Yellow and brown are my unlucky colours, Dad says.
Eating/cooking/ordering boiled rice really gets me annoyed.
"It's all so simple, just deal with it."
I believe in self-fulfilling. One day it will happen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It all started with a non-CS surfing in Berlin during my field trip study in 2011, with a guy whom I met in Mumbai the summer before and lost contact for all that time. You never know, one day you'd just meet the people you once met somewhere on the other side of the world. Really look forward to my first hosting experience, but I don't think it's happening soon until I own a place to live.
Lying on ground.
- outdoor activities
Music, Movies, and Books
Into the Wild - if I've to name the only one.
I'm not the kind of guy who regularly sit and read for hours. but if it happens i may just finish a while book in a day..I like books related to modern history. Any interesting non-fiction really. Travel literature. General social issues.
I fancy generally alternative rock, Travis, OneRepublic, Jason Mraz, Bastille, Foster The People, The Killers, Sons and Lovers, The Hoosiers ..more to name. Acoustic, dance, electronic, folk. it really depends on my mood. I like good Canton-pop music.
Hurt Locker. War-themed movies, not those with hardcore militant, battles, but more personal, human stories in wartime.
Documentaries - I'm fine spending hours a day watching Discovery ch. and Nat Geo, and start wondering why don't I just travel to the amazing places I see on TV screen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A 28-hour train journey from Kundapur to Mumbai - the passengers, the landscape along way, the delays, the fact that the train departs at 2am when everywhere's all dark - such an experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
Advanced colouring - top skill of a geographer. I could teach you some Cantonese if you fancy a taste of this challenging spoken language. or Chinese in general. At the moment I don't think I am particularly good at anything. Maybe it's not up to me. I'll be glad if you'd teach me a good lesson in a positive way ha!
I'm learning from you. I'm learning how to live. There're all kinds of possibilities and ways to spend my life, anywhere. Study, career, travel, I'm heading to anywhere. I love to see that out in this world people can be simple, rewarded and happy, and what seem to be obstacles are negligible.
If you consider simply talking means sharing, at anytime anywhere? and defo I can share my food!
