ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Mukta (pronounced mook-tuh).

I am a college student living in Los Angeles. I love meeting people, experiencing different cultures, traveling, going to concerts, baking, doing arts and crafts, being in nature and learning about sub-cultures.

I have a radio show on KXLU 88.9fm Los Angeles on Wednesday mornings from 6-9am PST. You can listen online at www.kxlu.com :)

I live with 3 awesome roommates. Jessica is a preschool teacher and drummer for a cool band called Cheryll. Cara works for CBS: Entertainment Tonight, and Diana works at Dear Creatures (a super cute clothing line!).

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that every person I meet and every experience I have teaches me something. I want to live fully and experience what the world has to offer.

I'm new to CouchSurfing, but I can't wait to get started! Now that I have a cool house in LA, I would love to host and meet awesome people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a radio show where I play independent music primarily from local bands. I like garage rock, dreampop, shoegaze, and psychedelic music. I also love 60s girl groups, 50s rock n roll and doowop.

Teach, Learn, Share

You can join me on my radio show and learn a little bit about how radio works. We can make yummy chocolate truffles at my house and my roommate, Diana, can show you how to play the harp!

We also like to play music and jam at our place (super casual, just for fun). My roommates and I want to learn as much as we can, so we would be happy if you could show us any of your skills or teach us about your culture!
