CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to improve on my writing, to explore the world and to share and promote my own culture.

ABOUT ME

I divide my time between Manila, where my dad lives, and Pampanga, where my mom lives. I am the second of six children who all grew up in this kind of arrangement.

I don't smoke, but I'm OK with smokers. I drink and I spend most of my waking hours sketching or thinking about literature or writing (and revising in my head).

PHILOSOPHY

Percy Wyndham Lewis said "When a man is young, he is usually a revolutionary of sorts. Here I am speaking of my revolution." I hope I stay "young" for a long time.

I've been inviting my other friends to join. Hopefully, in the near future, I can have my own couch to let people surf on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love comic books and graphic novels like "Blankets" and "The Eaters."

My favorite books are "White Oleander," "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Ang Madyik Silya ni Titoy," which is a Filipino children's book.

I also love TV Shows like How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Arrested Development and American Dreams.

I love Christopher Nolan movies and The Labyrinth and Red Cliff and Pirate Radio and Singing in The Rain.

I like bands and singers like Up Dharma Down, Bloc Party, Daft Punk, vampire Weekend, Aerosmith, MIA, Anais Mitchell, Tori Amos and Emiliana Torrini.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was able to swim with whale sharks in Donsol in the Philippines once.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can workshop people's poems, edit essays and other writing materials. I can also teach people practical tips about my own country. I can also bring people food, movies and books from the Philippines.
