About Me

CURRENT MISSION

everyday life

ABOUT ME

usually I let people decide by themselves what they want to think about me, but if you prefer to be biased feel free to read on...

I'm usually a pretty uncomplicated guy and easy to get along with. Notably, too, are my addiction to caffeine (preferably coffee, no milk, two sugar, thanks) and bad puns. The latter leads some people to believe that I can't be serious for more than two minutes, although that is entirely untrue. It is closer to four minutes, twenty-five seconds.

But honestly, I like a good laugh at least as much as some serious talk.

Even though this surely is not _all_ about me, it's something. The rest you have to figure out yourself. I mean, I can't so all the work for you, right?

PHILOSOPHY

mo' money, mo' problems

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Now, I want to get to know some people from the couchsurfing communities in my area. Just see what the community is like, meet some new people, do something.

For the couch offering part, I am able to offer my couch, at least some of the time. Also I might be able to show somebody around town, a bit (For detailed tours I definately am the wrong guy, since I am not born and raised in Mainz). However, I all depends on my schedule, so the easiest thing is to just mail me and we will see.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first noticed couchsurfing about five years ago and offered my couches in the apartment I had in my hometown. But Darmstadt being not exactly the place to be for the in-crowd, the festival goers or the average backpacker, not too much happened back then.

Then three years later I surfed on some couches in all over Canada and in the US, which was quite awesome! You know the story, I met interesting people, hung out, dug over my host's backyard, had fun times together.

Interests

coffee (always!), ccr (same here), english literature (by choice, recomendation and occupation), ipod (just mine, unlike stock ones it has a soul!) jim morrison (some of the time), nirvana (most of the time), pubs, sugar (at least 84% of the time), ... to be continued. I'll try to come up with at least one thing for each letter.

  • festivals
  • coffee
  • running
  • pub crawls
  • backpacking
  • tours

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, here we go. Soon as I can, I'll take a day off to fill this out.

But for now, let's just say Judd Apatow movies, are the right choice, if you want to see me laughing out loud. (not *rofl*ing tho, because that would be too geeky. the word alone...)

teach:

It is best to charge your cell phone battery at 40% of it's power. That way the battery last longest, say experts, and you don't run the risk of ending up somewhere with a dead battery
