About Me

Hello! If you ask me where I'm from, I wouldn't know where to start. I was born in the US, but I grew up in Mexico to a Turkish father and a Mexican mother. At 18, I moved to the US for college, where I majored in Religious Studies with a focus in Politics and Government. After college, I moved to DC, where I worked doing policy research, before deciding to embark on an adventure to Dubai, where I worked as education consultant. I am now getting ready to return to DC to pursue my Master's in International Affairs.

Things I like (beyond traveling, of course):
-Cooking and eating...Huge foodie with a special interest in locally sourced foods.
-Reading: I like both fiction and non-fiction alike, and Haruki Murakami is my favorite author.
-Japan: While I have never visited the country, I'm obsessed with everything Japanese, especially the food...especially Ramen.
-Politics: Even if the world isn't too fun right now, I like keeping up with international affairs.
-Languages: I aim to learn two more new languages before I die. Arabic is already kicking me in the butt.
