hi everybody
im myrddyn but its pronounced mervin from ireland. i grew up there but have travelled quiet a bit. i grew up surfing in ireland amongst other outdoor sports always trying out new things. i love the outdoors and i try and shape my life around it getting out as much as i can and breathing in the fresh air and standing on top of a mountain with a big smile on my face. i got into cycle touring a few years back and ive caught the bug big time. so this is what i am doing at the moment. so i hope you have space for a bike and my many bags.
i love to share stories and have a laugh to eat great food and cook. if theres any fun to be had im usually there soaking it up or dishing it out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

im on couchsurfing so that i can meet awsome people from all over the world and share laughs and stories. as im travelling by bike it is a great way to get information about a country and the locals always influence my route as they know all the cool spots that you dont find in a guide book. also as im camping nearly all of the time its great to get indoors once in a while for a bit of comfort or if the weather turns nasty just to get out of it for a night. like early this year i got caught in daytime minus 6 degrees cycling from hamburg to belgium with the nights much colder. as i wasnt equipped for this cold camping it was the kind people of couchsurfing and warmshowers that hosted me for a week straight that saved me from freezing my ass off. im forever grateful for their hospitality and kindness. i love to learn about different cultures and what better way to do this than stay with the people.

well at the moment im hooked on cycle touring the world one day at a time.
but i grew up surfing on the west coast of ireland so this is still always close to my heart. ive always been into skating but its hard to do this while im travelling but when ever i get the chance il jump at it to have a go again.
as a surfer i love the water so fishing and snorkeling are something that i will take any oppertunity at doing when i can.
hillwalking and camping are close to my heart aswell and as ive been cycling europe so ive basically been living out of a tent unless ive stopped off for a short time to bump up the funds.
i love to cook and learn new recipes so if you have skills to share il share with you.
im sure theres more but if its going to be fun im there

did a sky dive in south spain. it was something that ive always wanted to do
