Hello everyone, We're Myriam and Kerem a French-Turkish couple who share the love for Couchsurfing! This now joint account used to be Myriam's and you can find Kerem's at Kerem Kabil (in the personal references). Our current situation : After a 13-month world diagonal from Australia to Türkiye, we decided to settle for a little bit in a hamlet near the town of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. We're trying to enjoy a slower pace of life in beautiful Provence. Please read the house rules before sending a request. About Myriam : Trying my best to enjoy the small things in life. I love to deep dive in the language and habits of different cultures when I'm traveling, and have a tendancy to start learning new languages, until I drop them for the next one, oopsie. I like to get out of my comfort zone, finding more space to grow. I specially love hiking for days and days, experiencing simplicity in the nature. About Kerem : Life is not the number of days you live, it's the number of days you remember! So i just would love to have memorable time that I will remember forever with those people who share the similar world mission with me. In other words, I have no country to die for, as my country is the earth. I am a citizen of the world which consists of only one race... the human race.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Since I, Myriam, created this account more than 9 years ago, I've made amazing encounters and friendships with people from different cultures and backgrounds, such a blessing. As for Kerem, he hosted countless people in Istanbul and experienced hosts' generosity while travelling. We both think it's one of the best way to meet people and understand their culture. Exchanging makes us feel richer, we believe we all have something to learn from each other. CS is a good way to remember that the world is a big place with so many various and wonderful people, every one in their own different way. We aways loved hosting people and giving a homey feeling to our guests. For us travelling is not about visiting places, it's about people, it's about embracing other cultures and opening to new horizons.

Music, Movies, and Books

Myriam : Music is there every day of my life, all types are good to my ears. I like to read all kinds of books too, mostly novels. I am a huge fan of life stories which make my imagination travel far, far away. It is the same with movies, the further the better. I like to step an imaginary foot in countries I barely know a thing about.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Myriam : Walked alone the length of New Zealand (3000 km) and the length of Jordan (600km). Stayed completely silent for 10 days in a Vipassana center (huge achievement for me, ask my friends). Kerem : Move to a different country for love. Voluntarily worked in a stable for a month in Finland. It was amazing being in the middle of the nature with lots of incredible animals especially horses. Cleaning crap was never fun before :)

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you some french and turkish vegetarian recipes, as we love cooking ! We are eager to hear and learn other languages and love to listen to people's stories. We might even say that we just like to learn, in our eyes every piece of life or knowledge is a great gift. At home we will share our time and knowledge of our surroundings.

We're always ready to share time, laugh, food, thoughts ! We're happy to cook French and/or Turkish vegetarian meals for you, depending on the availability of the necessary ingredients in your country. We're respectful and tidy and will always respect the house's rules.
