One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One moment that left me awestruck was my flight to Spain. I left from LAX airport and the view from above was incredible. There was ocean for as far as I could see to one side, and to the other there was land as far as I could see. It was beautiful. Throughout the flight, I stared out of the window. As I passed over different states and the ocean, I kept thinking: wow, there is so much more to world than where I live. How amazing.
Albert Einstein once said that "Every one who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe-a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble." As a chemistry major, I find this holds true. Many people say that science disproves the existence of a god, but I find that it does the opposite. The smallest details have to be exactly right in order for a particular reaction to happen; that isn't chance. It leaves me awestruck to see God's fingerprints in the world around me.
