About Me

CURRENT MISSION

W : Stay happy and find out if i really wanna be a concert organizer. / C : Meet a lot of people and learn from experiences of others.

ABOUT ME

We’re fed up with drinking beers in Seoul so decided to attend an academic competition to get a funding and we won it! HAHAHA But the funding is not sufficient like always and, we wanted to make this trip very memorable. So we joined Couchsurfing. We’re best freinds as you can see, but also quite different in many ways. >_<

W : relaxed, outgoing, sociable, optimistic and
open-minded. love partying and dancing, meeting inspiring people and going to band gigs. And I have been a volunteer helping exchange students who come to Seoul and it has been a great pleasure for me, always.

C: I love to meet nice people who I can keep in touch with, and enjoy my time in Spain, France, and England in this August. I love delicious food, good conversation and a bottle of cooool beer:D. Uh, I have been a volunteer teacher for teenagers from low-income households&an intern of the NGO which works for social responsibility of corporations. I’m good at making sth by hand, like paperarts, cooking Korean dishes and know ancient castles in Seoul backwards and forwards! I can introduce them pleasurably if you want.:)

PHILOSOPHY

W: Everybody is good. If they seems not, they have their own reasons.
C: It is not much happy that being happy alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We signed up CS for this opportunity and are looking for little CS parties held in Seoul.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

W : I had been wondering when I can use this cite since i was 17 and this is the first time we experience Couchsurfing. Once I participated to be a host of homestay for Korean-mexican students I barely knew for a few days. It was very memorable and we’re still good friends ;)

C: Actually, I have no experience in Couchsurfing and sleepover. (I got to know it by Nayeon.) But I love to meet new people and make friends who seems really different from me, so I started Couchsurfing.:D

Music, Movies, and Books

W : Music - Music means a lot in my life. if i have to make a list;
The smiths (of course), and oasis, Blur, placebo, The beatles, franz ferdinand, Arctic monkeys, jake bugg, The strokes, Keane, Muse, Ben howard, belleruche, Nouvelle Vague Alice russel, maroon5, lady gaga, beyonce, Bump of chicken, L’Arc~en~ciel, radwimps some hip-hop and house music to dance and so on..
if you agree that anyway music is important, we can be very good friends.
Books - Dead poet’s society, Lucifer effect, Demian, Harry potter.
Movie - Hedwig and the angry inch, Edward Scissorhand and some korean movie especially Byung Heun Lee stars in.
+ Some Uk tv shows like Miranda, The inbetweeners, Black mirror, Sherlock, , IT crowd, SKINS, shamless, My mad fat diary, Hustle.. and some american TV shows of course.

C: My preference is more calm and quiet than Nayeon’s.
Julie&Julia, August Rush, and Once are my favorite movies. Actually I’m not a big comic maniac, but i have some favorites such as Miyajaki Hayao’s works like “My neighbor Totoro” and “Spirited Away”. I also love touching piano sounds by Hisaishi Joe from these movies. (Although my skills are still premature, I have been practicing his piano piece, “Summer”.)
And I love Owl city, Lenka and Adele’s music or New Age piano songs like Yiruma. (W : And her favorite book is the wizard of Oz. kk)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

C: I have been a volunteer teacher for teenagers of low-income groups since I enter University. And one of my students got a prize that praises elevation of score in July!XD
And when I was 15, I was an actress in Drama Club in middle school and starred our play that dramatize Maupassant’s “The Necklace”. (As you know, a story about a vain girl who lost a diamond necklace borrowed for a party and spent her life paying off debt for the necklace. But it transpired that a fake diamond!) Our club participated in local play festival, so I could appear on the biggist stage in our town and face a thousand of audiences. It was really aweeeesomeee experience!

W : A few years ago, I went to Japan and planned to visit a bar owned by the family of a member of my favorite band. When I got there, I found out that the bar is closed-it’s offical holiday. I was so dissapointed that just sat on the stairs. And an old woman, who was passing by and turned out to be the member’s granma, asked me what’s wrong. I just answered what happened and she let me in her house! Then the whole family gathered and opened the bar to cook for me and at the end let me talk with him on their phone. A decent example of ‘Knock the door, and it will be opened’. ;)

Learn - any language you can speak
Share - Korean drinking game! (C: hahahaha:D it’ really exciting!)
