About Me

I'm passionate about learning languages. I've studied abroad in Canada to improve my English skills where I met my partner. Together we're travelling through Asia and are fluent in Japanese, French and English. I'm an aspiring translator and my partner is a web developer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're here because we're both easy going and enjoy meeting new people. The benefit we see from meeting people is that you get an opportunity to know a bit of the local culture as it offers new points of views and ideas. We've both travelled a bit and have wondered what it would be like to surf and skip the hostel/hotel/airbnb scene but never quite taking the plunge until now.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge Disney fan! Some of my favourites are Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Finding Dory! Other than Disney I enjoy actions movies, comedies and dramas.

As for music I'm a fan of K-Pop namely Big Bang and Exo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In September 2015 I left my home country to move to Canada in order to learn English. The move was hard as I was leaving friends and family behind for an extended time to go to a place where I had limited resources. Add to this that I wasn't comfortable in English yet. However, the risk reaped many rewards! I've met people from all over the world doing the same thing as me and we were able to share our experiences together. And now I can speak fluently in English with native English speakers without being shy.

Teach, Learn, Share

Before leaving for Canada I used to work with a Kindergarten class. The class was located in Japan but was for learning English. We educated the children through games, songs and crafts. I really enjoyed helping the kids at a young age develop an ability to be multi-lingual.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some of my language skills and help answer any questions. My partner can help you with some of your tech woes, depending on their severity.
