There are actually two of us: my husband and I. Travelling is our passion but we are rather shy and peace-loving people so we do our best to travel against the stream - we choose countries and destinations mainly at their low seasons. We would definitely prefer a quiet talk with a small group or one person to a big party, though we are alright sharing space with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are after real life experience and believe that mixing up with locals is the best way to see and feel the place from inside. Temporarily we can't host guests but hope to fix it in the new future!

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock, Irish Folk & Classical music. Sometimes smth light can catch me for a while.
Ask me about books and we'll be lost for a while :) Generally i prefer science fiction, classical works or fantasy but i don't mind trying things in other genres as well. Reading has lots in common with travelling, doesn't it? :)
Movies.... Sometimes difficult to find a worthy one among thousands. But they do exist! I have been most lucky in finding them among drama and historical ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a plan of my 2 weeks trip to New Zealand and it has totally worked out! Bungy jumped in Nevis. Swam along with nanny sharks and stingrays. Can't figure out what was the most amazing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a few Russian words if the host is interested or a little belly dancing :) Can give a lesson on cute packing for presents. My husband can repair almost anything, from electrical devices to furniture, or at least give good advice on how to do it. Hosts should really keep an eye on him - he can take smth to pieces and back in no time!
We'll be happy to learn any new activity or cultural information, incl. political, religious and so on. We are very open-minded and like to share ideas as well as emotions. Will be happy to learn work-life balance as we are both rather workacholic. Will also appreciate if our hosts spend some of their time showing us secret, non-touristic routes and places!
