To live in Vienna!
Hi, how do I get started? I grew up in Toronto, Canada. But I'm not originally from there. I was born in a very tiny country off the coast of South America called British Guyana. It is where I spent my childhood. What else? I am very outgoing and love to meet new people. Most people I meet tell me that I'm very positive and nice and fun to be around. But I'd like for you to decide that for yourself. I personally think I'm very boring. ;)
To enjoy all this world has to offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I do not currently have a couch. But I can meet you for coffee and show you around our beautiful city.
None so far. No, not true. My flatmates hosted a Erasmus student from Spain and it was a great experience as he shared his views and knowledge about Spain with us over supper.
I really like meeting new people and hearing about their experiences from their travels. Being from Toronto has provided me with great opportunities to meet many people from many parts of the world since it is a very multicultural society. My other interest is in philosophy. I could spend hours just star gazing. I'm a bit adventurous. I've tried zip-lining, and tree top climbing. They were not so scary. I've climbed a few mountains. Well, they were only 1000m but nonetheless, I climbed them. I've also traveled to a few places. Other than that, I like nature, hiking, beautiful mountains, oceans and seas. Boring right?
Music, Movies, and Books
I love watching old flicks with actors such as Gregory Peck, Katherine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Audrey Hepburn, Clarke Cable. The list goes on and on. I like watching the films in black and white. I confess my favorite movie of all time is the Sound of Music. Books that I enjoy are autobiography type books like those written about Ghandi and Martin Luther King or books written by C.S.Lewis or Paula Coelho. I can also sit down in front of a fireplace on a cold evening with a girly type romance novel. It really depends on how I am feeling at the moment. As for music, I love all types and I love dancing. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My favorite is Hawaii and having a sea turtle ascend from the bottom of the ocean right in my direction. We stared at each other for a while until I decided I better start swimming and I swam right back to the boat. Thank goodness it wasn't a shark! Although at the time, I felt like it was one! It was also nice taking the submarine down to the ocean bottom and seeing all the different species in their natural habitat including sharks. They scare me! Another memorable event was spending 5 months in the Czech Republic amidst the mountains. I loved every bit of it.
