About Me

I'm a graduate school student from Japan. I was born in Kobe city and used to live in Kyoto. (I strongly recommend you to visit Kyoto if you have a chance!) After graduation from undergraduate school, I entered in the University of Tokyo, which is located nearby Tokyo.
Now, I'm staying in Cologne, Germany for study. It's my first time to study abroad, so I'm struggling with making friends and getting used to a new life... but I'm making effort to make my stay more meaningful and a nice experience.

My original major was economics, but I'm now majoring in international studies which focuses on developing countries. The theme I'm working on is "how people in developing countries adapt to climate change". This comes from my strong interest in effect of climate change and increasing natural disaster on people's livelihood. I conducted field researches in Thailand in order to see how climate change impact on local people. I can talk about such experiences if you get interested my study (^^) I'm still seeking for a good way of contributing to this problem, but hope my future work as a researcher will help somebody suffering from natural disaster.
