Overview
About Me
I have been a psychotherapist for 45 years (!), and have lived in my home since the late 70's. I prefer to think of myself as stable, rather than boring, since I love to travel, read, explore both inner and outer worlds. My daughter is grown and is a ballet dancer, living on the East Coast.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been an airbnb host for the last 4 years, but as of January, 2016, the city regulations have changed and I will not longer be on Airbnb. However, since I love meeting people from all over, and have a home in a wonderful city in a good location in Northern California, with a room to spare, I will continue hosting other travelers who are coming my way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: everything from Beethoven to Vampire Weekend, with a lot in between except country.
Books: whatever I'm currently reading. Last one was Americanah by Aditchie, which I enjoyed a lot.
Movies: El Norte, A Borrowed Identity, whatever I last saw.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two - when I was 21 I hitchhiked from India to England (after spending some months in Israel and East Africa).
And last year, when I was 65, my daughter and I rafted the Grand Canyon for 8 days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
I know a lot about the area and love to tell people what to do, where to go, what to see, eat and taste.
