Overview
About Me
I am a theologian and ethicist. I work on social justice issues. I do a great deal of writing and research. I enjoy water sports, working out, and volleyball. My travels allow me to experience new people, perspectives and culture.
I have enjoyed hosting friends and making them feel welcome. I look forward to the same thing with couch surfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to meet travelers and give a safe place for them to stay in the Bay Area.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Spanglsh, Under the Tuscan Sun, Something's Gotta Give
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Complete my PhD in Edinburgh and England.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do not often have time to cook but really enjoy cooking. I think food is a great way to share culture and even values (i.e., are you vegan as part of your
moral stance on behalf of animals or do you embrace all foods as part of how you embrace life). I think that tourist services often move us away from the opportunity to learn more of a culture (its food, music, people, politics, natural surroundings). I am an educator but also a lifelong learner.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Opportunity to learn more about the Bay Area and its unique weather, the many free events here, and great places to explore.
