I'm a folk musician, electrical engineer, and fan of weird or bizarre movies. I love to cook, read, bike, and ski when I get the chance.

Interests

I love playing music, especially bluegrass. If you're unfamiliar with it, there's some great examples on YouTube. It's also one of my new hobbies to keep a travel journal, and you're sure to earn a place in it if you give me a place to stay!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving in Roatan, Honduras was one of the coolest experiences of my life. Jumping into sixty feet of water as clear as a swimming pool and packed with marine life was really awesome. It wasn't really a moment, but doing RAGBRAI was really great. It's a huge bike ride across Iowa, something like 10,000 people participate every year. It's where I rode my first century- a hundred mile ride in a day.
