About Me

Seize the day, do what I love and be able to dwell in the unknown with out getting restless or fearful.

I was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to the US in 1979. I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona and work as a Marketing and Sales Director for my family's company. I love my life, my family and my friends and am very grateful and appreciative of living in America. My passion is travel and photography. I love connecting with people from all over the world and learning about their perspectives and experiences in life. I try to listen more than talk, and give more than take. Travel is so important to me because I know that living in America is very insulated and that there is much to be learned from other countries, and cultures. I just came back from spending a month in India, which was a heart-breaking, inspirational and life changing experience, and now I'm off to Buenos Aires for the Christmas holidays. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE CS'S IN B.A. FOR THIER HELP AND ADVICE, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU SOON!!!!

"Screw it, Let's Do It!" (I stole it from Sir Richard Branson, but those are truly words to live by:)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I currently do not have a couch to spare, but I will in February, when I will move into a new house with lots of room. I have taken CS's out here in Phoenix, and I have stayed with CS's in DC. Everyone is welcome to contact me when they come to Phoenix and I will show them around and make sure they have an amazing time.

I'm damn near a cs virgin. I mean, sure, I've crashed on a friend's couch when driving home seemed like more of a nightmare than a convenience, but I’ve never had a couch surfing experience abroad with folks I'd just met on the Internet. Up to date, I have mostly stayed in hostels when I've traveled, as well as having lived on a boat for four months. So I'm ready to explore this whole new world of couch surfing, especially with my upcoming trip in April.

First and foremost, I love being brought to the point where I'm laughing so hard that I can't breath and tears are falling from my eyes! That 's the second best feeling in the world:) The other stuff includes hiking, eating, cooking, drinking coffee, wine or any beverage really:) I love hosting and attending potluck dinners and BBQâ

Music, Movies & Books

Movies: They can range from mind twisters like Memento to the craziness of True Romance to others that are just plain good like No Country For Old Men, Pulp Fiction, Pan's Labyrinth, Old School, The Wedding Crashers, etc.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

In my junior year of college, I lived on a boat with 500 university students from all over the world, through a program called Semester at Sea. 10 countries, 4 months, whole new perspective! I have recently come back from an amazing month-long trip to India..

Teach, Learn, Share

It's easy to take things and people in your life for granted, especially when things are going your way. Appreciate the things you have, acknowledge the people you love, and realize how safe, how free, how happy you are - not everyone is enjoying the same blessings.
