For first impressions, I'm always told that I come off as quiet, shy and reserved. I can't deny it, because they're true! However, after getting used to a person, I will open up and talk a lot. So, I apologise beforehand if I come off curt or awkward at first, it's my shyness taking over...
I'm generally an easygoing person and I enjoy listening. I always try to keep an open-mind and I'm mostly fine with anything! I like to try out new experiences and new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to get to know different people and their cultures around the world!
(Since I still live with my parents, I'm unable to host. But, I'm open to meeting up! Once I start living in my own place, I'll definitely start hosting!)
Hobbies: Traveling, listening, reading, watching, playing, drawing, and so on.
I'm always open to learning different things!
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty much good with most music genres, though my favorites are alternative, rock, synthpop, and indie.
Movies & Books: There's a lot to list, though recent favorites are Ang Lee's film Eat Drink Man Woman, and Benjamin Alire Sáenz's Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Attended and presented at a research conference (International Congress of Psychology 2016) for the first time in Yokohama, Japan as an undergraduate student.
- Traveled solo to Tokyo, Kyoto and Iwami in Japan last summer, where I had the opportunity to couchsurf for the first time!
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that everyday, every person and every experience is a learning opportunity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share about the multicultural background of my country!
I'm most fluent in English, followed by Chinese and Malay. I can understand Cantonese, but I'm still working on my speech. I'm also currently learning Japanese! I'm a beginner, but I can share what I've just learnt.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Montenegro, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Taiwan
