À propos de moi

I´m currently studying psychology at the Central University of Venezuela, I´m in my 7th semester. I enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to help them. I’m dedicated and outgoing. I’m also are an animal and adventure enthusiastic. I have five dogs and three cats and I find being extremely delighted with taking long walks. I´m a fast learner, self-motivated and a teamwork player. Additionally, I´m part of the volunteering team in a ONG named tracing public space, doing some construction work.

I was part of the National Triathlon Team for three years, representing my country in competitions in several countries. Nowadays, I participate in running and swimming competitions.

When I´m not at the school, I´m planning my next adventure at the mountains, doing some race at the beach, picking my next book to read, bathing the doggos, helping my family in some construction project or doing some volunteer work. I´m just trying to be a fulfill person and live the life with experiences to remember!

I genuinely enjoy anything that involves learning about a new culture or developing a skill!

Currently, my country is getting trough an economic, politic, and social crisis, my university stopped the classes until the country get back to "normal" again, I don´t want to waste my time, I want to learn and get to know new things which is why I couldn't imagine any better way for this than to live an experience with a project abroad.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I found about couchsurfing because a friend talked to me about it. We were discussing stop the studies for a year and travel around the world, and she told me about this page that allows to stay in stranger houses for free. It sounds scary at first because you don´t know the host at all and obviously the host doesn't know much about you, only what you have on your profile, which actually can be a lie. So I began doing my research, I read like a hundred of blogs about couchsurfing, and realize that is like a community. A community full of trust and generosity, ruled by the code of humanity, the one that still exist in this corrupted world. So, I decided to give it a try, not only at being a surfer, but being also a host.

The reason I haven't verified my account is because in my country it is almost impossible for a student buy dollars. 1 dollar equals 22.000 bolivares TODAY (this changes everyday, usually gets more expensive). So 60$ (verification amount) are 1.320.000 bolivares, and the month salary in my country are 200.000 bolivares aprox, so it is impossible for me to spend the very tight budget that I have in paying the couchsurfing verification.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I don´t listen to a lot of music, but basically I like indie-folk music, or the lumineers, coldplay, and random pop music.

My favorites movies are Gladiator and The Pianist

My favorite book is in spanish, it is named "El alma está en el cerebro" (The soul is in the brain)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Represent my country internationally. Many of the countries I've visited, was because I was in the National Triathlon Team, and even if I wasn't THAT good (I have to admit it), it makes me tremendous proud to have given everything of myself in each competition. Definitely, to have belonged to the National Team, and wear the yellow, blue and red of my flag, to every country and every competition, is the most amazing thing I've ever done.

TEACH

I absolutely can teach spanish! And some basic English hehe. I also can teach how to do a macrame bracelet. Make the facade of your house with recyclable material or doing the most delicious pancakes!

LEARN

The first thing that comes to mind is learn how to cook! I eat a lot of basic food and I would like to learn how to add flavor to my food
Other things that I would like to learn are electricity work, farming, car mechanics, learn how to speak a perfect English, and learn other languages aswell!

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I can share all my competitions stories, all the bike crushes, the countries I have visited and everything you want to know about my country!
I can also give advice on travelling in Venezuela and I can take you on cycle rides and maybe a mini-road trip to the beach and the mountain!
