ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student in theology and music. I'm also a gay dad. I'm very laid back, unobtrusive, and easy to get along with (INFJ, if that means anything to you)! By trade and training I'm a musician.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is one of radical inclusivity. Everyone has meaning, everyone has worth, and I'm driving all my energies into making sure that people know that. Knowledge that you are worth loving is knowledge that transforms the world.

In my free time I enjoy reading, lounging, and playing music. I enjoy wine, craft beer, and good coffee! I love talking about ethics, theology, spirituality, and the arts.

Música, películas y libros

Books: Anything David Sedaris wrote. Anything deep; currently devouring "New Seeds of Contemplation" by Thomas Merton. I also love classic literature, particularly early 20th century poetry: Auden, Eliot, cummings, Gertrude Stein, et al. John Donne is also a dear favorite of mine.

Movies: Pitch Perfect, Airplane!, Star Wars, The Producers, Kill Bill, Shutter Island, El Orfanato, Poltergeist, Black Hawk Down

Music: Mostly classical (it's my bag, man!): John Adams, Arvo Part, Stravinsky, Debussy, Faure, Ibert, Poulenc, Reich, Schoenberg, Wagner, Berg; I also love Parliament and all things 80's pop.

I'm also really into jazz (I play saxophone): Lately I've really been into Bossa Nova and 60's combo stuff/bebop: Dave Brubeck/Paul Desmond, Luciana Souza, that kind of thing.
