CURRENT MISSION

After I graduate from my business school with an operations managment degree I plan on traveling around the country to areas where natural disasters have struck to volunteer and help with recovery efforts.

ABOUT ME

I was on a project team that invented a patent pending self-sustainable disaster shelter. During the school year when we were developing the shelter my apartment building burned down(Meadow Street, Agawam, MA Nov.21,2010). Since then I have been completely adjusted to leading a minimalist lifestyle. I am pursuing a career in disaster management and recovery. I have been in the process of launching a company that manufactures and distributes our disaster shelters.

I have always loved being immersed in nature. Camping and canoeing are some activities I try to do as frequently as possible.

When I finish school I will travel the country by van and camp wherever. I want to see the national parks and meet cool people along the way.

I am a recording artist with the Rhyme Skeme(rhymeskeme.com).

I'm also a board member of the Springfield Boys and Girls Club. Our mission is to give young people a safe environment to spend time and make friends. We are committed to giving less fortunate young people a way to realize their dreams later in life.

PHILOSOPHY

When I lost everything I owned in the apartment fire people from my network and community came to my aid. Those were humbling moments that made me aware of the connections I made throughout my entire life. Being good to people and having a positive influence on people everyday is the greatest way to lead a rewarding life. My friends are my reward. If you have a good reputation people will never let you down.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet people who belong to the couch surfing community not even necessarily to stay on their couch but, to have a place to park my van and have a warm meal and to shower up before heading back on the road.

I currently have a very nice two bedroom apartment with no roommates. I think it would great to have people stay with me who I can show how great Western MA is to hike, bike, canoe/kayak and chill. I love to cook and entertain. It would be a good time for me too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I travel to visit friends and I sleep on their couches until I have to return home.

Interesses

I'd like to hike the Appalachian Trail. That is to me the test of perseverance and inner fortitude.

I would also like to live in Australia and Brazil.

I'll give any movie a chance. The one movie I ever walked out on was Torque. That movies was the worst. I listen to it all except for emo. I read text books and business related material. I like biographies and autobiographies of people I admire. The book titled Ishmael changed how I view the world we live in now.

I went to China for a semester. I studied at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. While I was there I hiked Huashan Mountain. That was like taking an ancient pilgrimage into the heavens. Seven hours of hiking up centuries old stairs carved out of the mountain side. I've also been on the Great Wall and was in Tiananmen Square during China's national holiday. Talk about insane amounts of people in one place. I have skydived before and am interested to get into paragliding and white water kayaking.

If you want to know more about camping and surviving outdoors, I have quite a bit of experience with this. If you have an idea for a business and would ever like some help with structuring your idea, my entire education revolves around this subject. Plus, I have experience with collaborating with professionals. I was music sales and promotional manager for a number of years. Aspects of getting your music out there is something I know a few things about. I would like to learn from people who saturated with social media using google professionally. I learn something from nearly everyone I meet. Even if its something I know quite a bit about I still think more can be learned.
