About Me
ABOUT ME
A large part of my life includes new and interesting activities such as hiking new trails with my dog and sometimes my fiance, traveling just about everywhere, and enjoying relaxed atmospheres with cool people. I get along with just about anyone as does my sweet dog Maya! I am quite goofy, laugh a lot, and yes, I am a dork about my dog and any other animal...everyone needs a fluffy friend. My fiance and I are easy going and conscientious people and sleeping on the floor, on a couch, in a car, or under the stars, we aren't picky and just love great company :-)
My dog is a lab mix and is very well behaved and crate/house trained. She will be best friends with your dog and she will be respectful of a cat, and will follow children around to make sure they don't have some leftover food on their faces or hands to share. She is trained to control her chase instinct, this way she can be off leash on trails and not chase wildlife - very important when you actually want to FIND wildlife and not terrify it deeper into its hide-y-hole!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Be it because of work, school, or new adventures that pop up: I am always on the go with a combination of my fiance and/or dog or just by myself. Organized chaos mixed with my need to plan at least a few days ahead in a lifestyle that barely allows it, couchsurfing is a great way to meet like-minded and awesome people! When I finally settle down some day, I am hoping to pay it forward and host some awesome people as well. I am still trying to convince my fiance that I am going to build a tiny 'green' house...I think he's slowly coming around to the idea, but he requires a place for his reptile and amphibian book collection, so once that's figured out I just have to find the right location!
Interests
I am a wildlife biologist working with amphibian and reptile conservation/behavior/art. I also adore my dog, but unfortunately I can't always bring her along on my travels, but when I do, she is a great companion and I would love to find a place she can (gently) crash too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been lucky enough to experience a lot of amazing things, but I am proud of bagging one peak in particular when I was 15, Mount Kilimanjaro!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If my dog is with me, she is awesome, you don't want to miss out on her awesomeness.
I like to cook and I can totally bake my swiss cookies and pick up a bottle of wine, that always equals a stellar stay!
