About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To finish my studies then embrace the world somehow

ABOUT ME

I am currently in my last year of a Geography degree at Swansea University. This past summer I worked as a canoe tripper for a camp in Canada. Despite not having much experience it was one of the best things I've done. It made me see the great opportunities there are to work in a different country and how much fun it would be to live and work in a completely different environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a profile on here for a while but haven't updated it until recently (Sept 2013). I have stayed with a couch surfer once when I was in Cincinnati this year. It was a wonderful experience with Robbie being a great host and it really made me want to get involved more in what is an amazing idea and has changed travel.

Interests

I really enjoy watching and playing football. I have played in an intramural team at uni and hope to play for as long as I can. The sings are good with my Dad still playing 5 a side every week at the ripe old age of 50, a get together I get involved in when I'm home!

I am interested in the Spanish language after traveling in central America. I am always looking for ways to improve and am embracing the great wealth of free help there is online. So far this has been through learning, reading and chatting (on skype) but I'd love do an intercambio language exchange.

I like the idea of running more than managing to get out of the house... but I have run in a few races, most notably the 'Tough Guy' race. Apart from being electrocuted it was great fun and a lot more interesting than bog standard running. I want to get into more adventuring type things after seeing talks by a few explorer types.

I would love to one day learn how to hang glide or paraglide and fly down from the hills near me and land in the back garden of my parents house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a hitchhike from England to Morocco then traveled round a bit. It was a great adventure and a beautiful country to finish in - I can confirm the Sahara is mahooosive.

Teach, Learn, Share

One Christmas a while ago I was given a rubix cube and spent a whole day learning how to do it. While not that useful it's a cool thing to learn!

I can also juggle and walk on my hands. I'm always open to learn and try new things.
