Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am staying here in Brisbane until November 2010, then heading off again starting in Japan in December, before moving to Europe for my first white Christmas...tired of 40 degree Xmas DAys!

I want to meet new people and get 'inside' local communities across the globe.

So I offer two Italian couches here in Brisbane and seek friendly offers of couches (don't have to be Italian) all over the world.... :)

I sometimes travel interstate, so I'm not always free and am not always sure how many days I can host.

Interests

The obvious....as well as movies, photography, discussing culture, any sports, gym training, hiking, world affairs.

Different foods of different cultures - its always awesome to try something new, including the history and story behind it. I love discovering the link between a people and their food...what it means.

like trying new activities - whatever they may be - coffee making, massage, photography....

Climbing Mt Fuji in August 2009 to watch the sunrise .

Knee deep in tomatoes at La Tomatina in 2007.

Speeding across Japan, Spain and France at 300km/hour.

Standing on the Vatican roof on a sunny spring afternoon...

Boating across Lake Kotor in Montenegro at sunset.

Cruising down the Rhine river and stopping off at small towns hugging the river and hilltops.

The crossing at Shibuya train station, Tokyo, where three million people pass through every day....just standing there feeling the tide of people come in and out...
