It would please me immensely to say maybe one sentence in Japanese correctly - failing that I can always watch films whilst in the company of gin.

ABOUT ME

I'm 26 and male - I play too many musical instruments and literally cannot speak Japanese; I live in Japan, this is a problem.

I don't like to talk about myself really though people tell me I'm nice

PHILOSOPHY

Live is too complicated a beast to be summed up with a trite aphorism or all emcompassing philosophy.

I don't know if that counts.

Ah well, maybe I build the community by being relentlessly nice to people. Awesome. I enjoy meeting new people and chatting with them. I'm hoping to do more travelling in the next few months so hopefully I can do more ...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much so far, somebody stayed at my house, it was all very amicable. Interesting to glean some information from someone who'd e\been here a lot longer as well.

Interessi

Reading, music, japanese language, eating and drinking is rad, snowboarding (this coming winter, can't wait) films, writing, cycling. About to start playing cards (Poker ... switch, the only way of getting rid of the hundreds on 1 yen coins in my apartment). Also, I quite enjoy Onsens, just letting it all hang out.

John Squire's guitar solos, Steve White's drum sycopation the Beach boys harmonies.

William Blake's poetry (though some of it is self conciously impenetrable I feel), Nick Tosches' books and some Hemingway.

Alien and Aliens are absolutely astonishing - I also really enjoy Japanese Horror films.
