I’m Jon Tan, writer-cartoonist and self improvement junkie based in Singapore. I’m also a textbook ENTP.

I’ll be joining the ranks of digital nomads come November. First stop – Bangkok.

As a wee child, I was an event host. My career evaporated when my adolescent adorableness had to make way for my… manlier charms.

I then entered an abusive relationship with graphic design for 8 long years. Tough breakup. We still hook up once in awhile.

As I work in the creative industry, I'm constantly seeking inspiration and fresh ideas. I genuinely believe the most beautiful thing in the world is forging friendships with people who have dreams and ideas you'd have never ever thought up yourself.

I'm a sucker for books about productivity, self-improvement or social psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The greatest meal I ever had was Otoro sushi(fatty tuna) at Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo. I cried.

I've gotten drunk off eating too much tiramisu in Italy. (I don't take alcohol too well...)

Was caught trespassing by an angry priest in Vatican City.

Had a run in with the Vietnamese mafia in Ho Chi Minh.

Groped a 500 year old statue in the Louvre.

Home-stayed in the outskirts of Paris and met the most adorable doggy I've ever met.

Pretended to be newly-weds with someone I just met on a flight Mid-flight, the crew gave us champagne and matching couple pyjamas. I felt hella guilty.

Jumped out a plane in Sydney... then got fired into the sky on a reverse bungie 5 days later in Singapore.
