About Me

I would like to get to South America But where? It is a big place.

I like meeting interesting people and finding out what motivates them to do what they do. "They" would probably say I am good father, intelligent, friendly and helpful. After literally traveling around the world in '98' I can say 99.9% of the people out there are good people. I like water sports, surfing and wakeboarding. I tent camp when I can and will go that extra mile to see something of interest.

I have a life motto of " I am a conduit of prosperity for all those who do honest business with me." I am not sure what happens to those that cheat me but I am sure karma is taking care of that for me. I try to creat as much freedom as I can for myself and sometimes that means doing more with less.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am willing to host but Folks need to know that I live 25 miles outside of the city. Toward Hamilton's Pool.

Alburquerque Crash was a good intro. Lisa did an incredible job of organizing. CS'ers are folks that you might not meet otherwise and everyone of them interesting in their own right. Even though being older than most they were all excepting and helpful to me and my kids on our adventure to experience the Balloon Fiesta.

I am self employed so I have to make up my work schedule unless I am busy putting out fires meaning solving problems. Being in nature gets my attention. Recently we had one of the best wildflower seasons in recent history, it was intoxicating. When I am with my kids we surf, water ski, my son is becoming a good sailor. We campout. I study different things, like the stock market, organic agriculture, electric generation, on and on...stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The birth of my children, they were born at home into my hands. I have had so many magical moments in natural settings it would be pointless to try to convey them in this little space. My first kiss. A whale surfacing next to me in California. Las Pozas in Mexico, The coral reefs in Carribean waters. Surfing back door pipeline. Saving a Brazilian girl from drowning in Puerto Escondido.

Teach, Learn, Share

When everyone is leaning to one side of the boat, one might consider taking an opposing position. Wether in the stock market, housing bubbles, whatever, nature seeks balance and the pendulum swings back. When things get rough that is when miracles can happen. When traveling have the intent in mind that it will all work out for the best.
