Hi! I'm Nele 😊
When you're reading this I've (probably) successfully finished my Master's thesis, yay! Time to cut loose for a while and go to the southeast of Europe, which I haven't traveled to much before. These past two years I haven't left Germany much thanks to said thesis and the pandemic, that's why I'm very excited for new experiences.

I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert - I love spending time with people and am generally very outgoing! But I also enjoy spending time on my own to recharge.
To relax I love to go for long walks or cook an elaborate meal (I'm mostly vegan/always vegetarian). Nothing soothes me as chopping veggies for a while. And what's better than having a delicious plate afterwards? I love to cook for other people, too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I collected my first couchsurfing experiences in Russia back in 2016 when I traveled with a friend during my semester abroad. I was so amazed by the hospitality of people. I think couchsurfing is a wonderful way to meet people and regain faith in humanity, which we can always use in turbulent times like these.

Hiking a 5-day trail in the Black Forest with a friend and being welcomed on the last day by a host with food and all the comforts one could hope for after a long day on one's feet.

I know how to dance bachata and salsa. I also know how to knit socks grandma-style. Whichever you're dying to learn I can teach you!
