Retire from being a student....
I have just moved back to the most (or at least one of them) beautiful places in the world: British Columbia. One of my greatest passions is music. As far back as I can remember, music has always been a huge part of my life...whether it be playing, listening, writing...
I finished my Bachelors in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry last year and am now working in a virology lab at the University of British Columbia (not all that exciting...)
Another one of my passions is traveling (a given). I love different people, I love different cultures, and I love being able to interact with and experience the two together! I spent a year in Sweden on an academic exchange, and recently came back from a 3 month trip to South Africa. I am very much a nomad. I can't seem to settle in one place for any extended period of time.
You have one life to live...might as well make the most of it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now that I've arrived back in Canada after quite the trip, I'm quite excited about being a host myself. I would like to couch surf again eventually, but for now I'll have to resign myself to living vicariously through other travelers!
I have couch surfed four times. The first time in Rome and the second in Vienna. I recently couch surfed in Cape Town, South Africa with two different hosts. As in Europe, my experience was incredibly positive as I had the opportunity to meet amazing locals.
I'm excited for the opportunity to finally pay it forward and to be a host myself :)
