About Me

ABOUT ME

I am an African North American who is quite open-minded (having an alternate life style) with several years of college studies via the City University of New York.  Born in the USA and has lived in Florida, Pennsylvania and NYC.  While I have a somewhat reclusive life right now, I love to talk and have traveled across the USA, in Montreal and in a few capitol cities of western Europe in the past. In addition to reading motivational non-fiction, I enjoy listening to R&B, some jazz, show tunes and popular music.  I also enjoy attending dance performances and most of the live cultural arts.  In my previous life, I used to regularly take bicycle tours in New York as well as other regions.  For quite a few years, I worked as a career office temp -- mostly in midtown Manhattan.  Currently, I am a somewhat "free spirit" involved in enlarging my poetic compositions -- with hopes of earning funds via sporadic street vending and involvement in some cultural arts events.  I anticipate again travelling both in the USA and other metropolitan regions in mid 2012 and thereafter -- barring any obstacles.  Of course, I enjoy the multicultural and multidimensional aspects of living in the Big Apple and would probably make a good guide who shows folks the real, everyday people side of this metropolitan region.   More info to follow in the near future.

PHILOSOPHY

Great supporter of the notion of all-inclusive human rights, open-minded attitudes and mutually-reciprocated respect and compassion for the less fortunate across the entire globe.

Interests

In addition to reading motivational non-fiction, I enjoy listening to
R&B, some jazz, show tunes and popular music.  I also enjoy
attending dance performances and most of the live cultural arts.  I do like to engage in meaningful conversation -- either live or via phone that gives insights into individual lives and attitudes.  I have a somewhat independent bent when it come to political philosophy -- especially as supporter/advocate for the regular person in this and other societies.  In my
previous life, I used to regularly take bicycle tours in New York as
well as other regions.  In addition to the above-cited interests, I like to write -- having composed a few songs and now putting emphasis on poetic expression -- some romantic, some expressing "pride & appreciation" and some urging political awareness.

Music, Movies, and Books

Especially likes to read biographies, non-fiction, motivational works and a great variety of written works that reveal the challenges and triumphs of regular people and some celebrities.  I am intensely interested in works that highlight the pan-African experiences in the Western Hemisphere and western europe -- along with aspects of the entertainment industry and progressive-minded advocates for human rights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many aspects of the life experience are amazing as we journey through the components that are characteristics of our individual and collective existences.  The variety of landscapes, cultural expressions, interactions across the divides of age, religious affiliations, life-styles, educational backgrounds and aspirations all provide insights into human nature, resolve and whether or not we accept our lots as dictated by societal regulations or try to transcend them.
