About Me

Man, I'm a pretty chill guy who loves to have laughs and usually am laughing. My family traveled a lot while I grew up, hence the "grew up in Bratislava" on my profile, and that has really opened up my eyes to how big and small the world really is.

My family is southern, but I don't think the accent has stuck, but what has stuck is common courtesy, "Yes, ma'am/no sir" and appreciation for people opening their houses to others. While in Europe we hosted many different people in our house, and it was always fun to find some one else who spoke English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because the world offers too much culture and too many stories to stay in hotels every where you go. I know there are horror stories, some I can tell you, of staying in other peoples' houses, but those are the stories you laugh about a month later and never forget. That being said, I'm not settled right now so I'm doing more travelling that hosting right now, but I love to meet people where they are and learn about where they've been and where they're going.

Interests

Broad category. I love longboarding, snowboarding, and the injuries that come with them at character, I am a bit of a video game nerd when I want to be, I am in love with music, the cello in particular, and am blessed to have been given one by my peers in college so I could continue to learn it, I drive motorcycles and love the sense of freedom they offer, I think adventures are often taking place when we rather see them as problems or hindrances.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once dove on and caught an alligator. I have video evidence, and the sense of accomplishment and adrenaline was amazing. Anything that I'm afraid to do I embrace, and do it. I think fears were meant to be conquered.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good stories and a courteous house guest that you'll never regret hosting. One thing hosts ought to know about me is that I am a Christian. I don't believe in judging the world, but I do believe the two greatest commandments in the Bible: "loving God, and loving people". I never shove Christianity down any one's throat, rather, I like to learn about other beliefs.
