About Me

My name is Nick, but I go by Jason. My partner and I are looking to embark on a life changing adventure, and see what the world has to offer. I have always had this desire to travel the world, experience all the different cultures, art, beauty, people, and experiencing life at its fullest potential. When I was still living with my parents, I traveled a lot with them, as they were in ministry. (I have my own different beliefs that I like to keep to myself) As a result, I have been to 28 of the United States, as well as the Bahamas. My favorite place to visit (so far) is Florida and have been there about 4 times. I love the sun, but still need to smell the rain once in awhile; Florida has the best of both worlds! I am 20 years old, out on my own, young, and am ready to see the rest of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For one, I have heard many wonderful stories from friends that have used C.S. So I figured I would give it a try. Second, I love people, and I love meeting new people. The idea sounds amazing! We used to host people from all over the world, a few years back, due to what my parents were doing. We had a pastor from Uganda, Africa come and stay with us several times, as well as many others, he was my favorite! At the moment, my partner and I live with his mother in order to save money to buy a house. But we usually have an extra room and bed that is free. I would be happy to host and grateful to surf.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, except most country. My favorites are alternative rock, pop, and EDM. Anything, really! I don't read much, but I have enjoyed some Nicholas Sparks, and The Hunger Games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is one thing I don't speak of often. I saved a girl from drowning, and attempted to save another. For which I have received awards from the Veterans of Foreign War, the Red Cross - for humanitarian of the year, my local Wenatchee Police Department - the Citizen Commendation Award, and the Carnegie Medal from The Carnegie Hero Fund Commission which is a foundation that awards the Medal to individuals in the U.S. and Canada who risk their lives to an extraordinary degree saving or attempting to save the lives of others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know I am young, but I have done and seen a lot more than your average 20 year old. I have a few stories that I am happy to share. I am not usually one to brag, but there's one thing I don'd mind bragging about:My cooking. I can pretty much make something delicious out of whatever is in your fridge. My goal is to glean from people. I am all about bettering myself, and bettering the world one step at a time. I just want to share life with as many people as possible.
