Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've only had travels with other people (friends or family). Lately, I've been inspired to travel on my own. Taking challenges that come with that, but experiencing cultures and locals on my terms. Also, can't afford solo sleeping arrangements in a traditional hotel if I'm traveling somewhere more first World.
So I'm taking Cs with a double approach: more affordable places to stay + looking to meet friendly locals.
Though saying "I love traveling"is a cliche nowadays, it still applies. I like a slower day, less bars, more going outside seeing beautiful scenery, taking in an atmosphere, eating new food.
Music, Movies, and Books
All sorts but quite conventional
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My favorite moments are in places of natural beauty. Taking in the scene on the top of the Swiss alps. Sinking my feet into pure white powdery sand in Krabi. Breathing in the cold autumn air surrounded my California redwood trees in Yosemite. My travel weaknesses are any place with a water body. They're relaxing.
Though I occasionally enjoy a trip or 2 to Disneyworld. Nostalgia overload that one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what I can teach other than talk about my experiences.
But definitely open to sharing which I love to do. Don't worry, I won't be a conversation hog.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Never done this before so not sure. Cultural exchange and foreign currency? Just ask and give me some ideas :)
