Experience all New Zealand has to offer and make some lifelong Kiwi friends
I'm the sort of person who's going to surprise you at all levels. I'm someone who's always looking to try something new, conquer a new fear, or help other's get into a new activity. You can tell a lot about me from my Interests but even more about me from my family.
I come from a large family. My grandparents owned a large family resort in the northern woods of Wisconsin. My dad, and his 4 siblings, spent a lot of their lives living between the two. Springstead, Wisconsin is the sort of place that everyone know your name and you know everyone. I spent a lot of my summers growing up in the north woods fishing, riding ATVs, snowmobiling, and relaxing on the lake. This is where I've inherited my laid back and friendly traits.
I hate trying to describe myself over text so if you have more questions just email/call me (or better yet host me ;] haha)and i'll defiantly be able to tell you more!
I could rant for hours on this subject, so I'll discuss it if we end up meeting in person sometime! but until than i'll just post a few of my favorite quotes
"A true traveler has no set destination, and is NOT intent on arriving"
"A ship is safe at harbor, but that isn't what a ship was meant to do"
"Free advice is worth the price you pay"
i'll be updating more later on!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently participating as purely a surfer. I am studying abroad here so I am unable to supply housing, but I will defiantly be giving people a place to crash in Chicago!
None so far! changing that very soon!
Snowboarding/Skiing/Longboarding: I am a instructor back in Michigan (where i go to school) for both, and I'm beginning to go into more freestyle style boarding!
Volleyball: I have played volleyball as a middle and right-side attacker for 6 years now, including 3 years in travel where I participated in the Junior Olympics.
Surfing: Defiantly keen to take advantage of some helpful advice and time on the waves since I've only been able to go twice ever!
Scuba Diving: I'm PADI certified for diving and have dove in Hawaii, Jamaica, and few other places
ATV: Also know a 4 wheelers or Quad Bikes, grew up riding these around northern Wisconsin
Snowmobiling: Probably the best thing from my childhood. Spent every winter suiting up for the day long rides across the lakes and bar hopping with the whole family. We often had a 22 person gang going at once with everyone from rednecks to Italians
Cliff Diving: done this everywhere I've been able to. Highest I've ever done is 100 feet in Jamaica and I've ever done a front flip or two off 30 footers.
American Football: I played tight end in high school (a cross between a receiver and a blocker) and regained my passion for it this year. I'm a die hard Chicago Bears fan, born and raised!
Philosophy: I've always been interested in everyone's view and how one can look through their personal lens on the world

Music, Movies, and Books
I love comedies and good TV series such as:
Anchorman(and most Will Farrell movies for that fact),Zoolander, Usual Suspects, Super Troopers, Fight Club, Dude where's my car?, and many more
I don't watch Tv much but i just blow through TV series online like The Office, Breaking Bad, That 70's Show, Dexter, Always Sunny in Philadelphia
, and a few others
I have a diverse music taste, which only excludes Metal, Scremo, and Hood Rap. I love the feeling that music can ignite in you and everything it has to offer. I love Bob Marley, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kenny Chesney, Franki Valley & the Four Seasons, The Killers, Jack Johnson, and a huge amount more.
I love to share my music and get other people's so if i end up staying with you or you stay with me I can promise you that you'll leave with at least a few new music interests.
p.s. i know most people don't like it but I have a special spot in my heart for American Country music and can defiantly show you the good side of country if you want
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
No need to ruin the stories to share. I shall update more and more on here but i'd prefer to really tell you in person!
Teach, Learn, Share
All my sports, all my music, and anything that makes me me. I'm a quick learner and always up for new experiences (specifically new foods!)
A question i always ask people to get to really know them is "what do you want to remembered for?" Alot of people usually state some invention or advancement in their industry.
Personally, I feel like anything i create or invent will be surpassed probably even in my lifetime. What i want to be remember for is the little bits of advice I can pass onto young people when I am older. Anybody whos been there and done that who takes the time to pass it on has always been a legend to me, so I just want to do my part
