ABOUT ME

God I hate about-me-boxes. I always feel tawdry and a little dirty, like I'm selling you a nifty toy that you later read of in a TIME exposé piece - a tell all tale about my Chinese sweatshops and my some type of cancer-causing paint and my small pieces that will choke your children right to death.

I just lived a month in Cabo San Jose and am recently returned to my 'home' in Austin. Really I am just another maligned gypsy like the rest of you. I'm armed with the super beefy version of Rosetta Stone French. I recently quit a job designing business process management software for Fortune 500 executives (fancy shit, yeah?). I should have a new job within a month that allows me to travel in true vagrant fashion. So now that I have finished selling my soul to the Man, I have joined CS in hopes I can take the remainder abroad.

PHILOSOPHY

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I watched the stars spin as I soaked in a hot spring out in the middle of the California desert known only by the vagabonds and drifters. My companions were one novelist, one train-jumper, one Australian backpacker, and one Fortune 500 executive. We drank beer and talked about all the lives we'd lived. Between the four of us, we had seen the whole world. It was one of those moments that as you live it you know what a rarity the whole experience is. It was magic.
