PHILOSOPHY

Fortune favors the bold. You must be willing to take risks, explore the unknown, and immerse yourself wholly into the beauty that is the present moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living in Hawaii, you'll hear many mention the importance of living "Aloha" - yes, as a verb. What I have come to understand that to mean is that you should carry yourself in such a manner that anyone you encounter feels the warmth of your soul, and the kindness in your heart.

I plan to approach Couch Surfing in the same "Aloha" way.

Interests

Cooking, Yoga, Surfing, Slacklining, Wakeboarding, Hiking, and Salsa Dancing to name a few!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Competed at the National Collegiate Sales Competition and finished 17th out of 126 competitors in March 2012!

White water rafted class V rapids in the Upper Gauley in October 2011! This is not my raft, but this video gives you an idea of what the experience was like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wBnvGMV298&feature=related

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned that in many ways cooking is an expression of love. A love of people. A love of conversation. A love of culture. A love of flavor. As a result I have gravitated to this skill, hoping to express my love of all of the above to whomever I am lucky enough to cross paths with.

With that in mind, I must not-so-humbly admit I am a master chef of guacamole! I have been making this recipe since I was a little girl in my mother's kitchen, and have perfected it as I have grown. I would be happy to make my guacamole for anyone I encounter in the Couch Surfing community.
