My name's Nick Tutssel, and I'm a 21 year old from Ontario, Canada applying for a 23 month holiday work Visa to New Zealand this June. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently got a job out of school with a company based in Auckland, New Zealand, and will be headed down there sometime during late June. I'm planning to travel around the North and South Island for about a month or so before I start work. I'm on Couch Surfing because I thought it would be a great tool for me to connect with other travellers who are travelling alone or with a small group and looking to meet people on a similar path! I would love to meet people from different parts of the world, share a laugh and our experiences, hopefully even over a drink or two..

Interests

I love to both talk and play sports, Basketball and Rugby being the two that I am most involved with. I'm also a big wakeboarder and have a little experience surfing, but would love to learn!
I've got a massive appreciation for comedy, whether it be stand-up, Saturday Night Live sketches or a good joke, you can count me in.
I consider myself a bit of an amateur foodie; I love to eat and cook, and will never turn down the opportunity to try something new!
Fashion is another one of my big interests, I love to look at (and occasionally purchase) new clothes.. while I love to keep up to date on new trends, there is nothing more satisfying to me than finding a gem of a piece at a thrift shop.
Most of my weekly spending is allocated toward food, clothing and alcohol, but at this point in my life, I'm just fine with that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and listen to plenty of it every day. My favourite genres would definitely be Rock & Rap/Hip-Hop. I love Kanye and being Canadian am a big Drake fan.. by no means is that all I listen to, but they're near the top of my list. I also grew up listening to the discography of the Beatles with my Dad, and they will always hold a special place in my heart.
I'm a Harry Potter nut and have read all of the books in the series multiple times, some of my other favourite authors include Dan Brown and Malcom Gladwell.
I Love comedy and action flicks, huge 007, Quinten Tarrantino & Samuel L Jackson fan.
