À propos de moi
ABOUT ME
I try to be a great guy. I value humor, honesty, clear communication, respect, and Oxford commas, and try to cultivate those qualities in myself as much as possible. I have a definite sarcastic streak, but also recognize the need for sincerity when the situation calls for it. I'm very outgoing, and I talk a lot, but am making a concerted effort to honor silence and listen more. I'm trustworthy, cheerful, and responsive. I am also one of the cleanest and most organized people I know. And having just stayed at a friend's house for a week while in between leases, I think my friends would say I'm a good house guest.
Oh, and they would definitely say I'm passionate about architecture.
Centres d'intérêt
I enjoy finding beauty in as many places as I can, and the moments it appears (or at least, when I'm able to see it) are what make my life engaging.
I like to spend my time in the presence of beauty. That comes in many forms. Spending time with friends, reading a good book or watching a good movie, exploring cool cities, going hiking or backpacking, and rock climbing are all ways I experience the beauty in my life.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
It was a long time ago, but the first and only time I visited the Grand Canyon (so far) certainly silenced me. The Grand Canyon is one of those places that refuses to be captured by photos or film; they just cannot convey the absolutely breathtaking scale, beauty, and grandeur. It truly is an awe inspiring site.
More recently I visited James Turrell's skyspace 'Light Reign' at the Henry Art Gallery. Turrell's skyspaces are stunning spaces: rooms exposed to the outside through a giant oculus in the ceiling (I highly recommend looking him up). Entering 'Light Reign', this simple, elliptical room with white walls, dark floors, and encircled by a wooden bench, made me audibly gasp, something I didn't even believe actually happened. Being exposed to the sky in that context, being in its presence so strongly, was an incredible experience.
