About Me

Nick is British and Frances is American. We lived together in England for 7 years, most of them in York where we loved hosting Couchsurfers. In 2018 we decided to give up our lives as they were, Nick caring for the disabled and Frances doing a Biology PhD, to retrain as farmers. We spent the last year WWOOFing in France and England to learn regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices while also waiting for Nick's Green Card. Now we've moved to the US hoping to start our own farm and sequester some carbon. In the meantime, we are enjoying living and working in beautiful Eureka, CA!

Now we're in Eureka, we're running the best little burger food stall in the STATE, we're baking the tastiest sourdough brownies EVER, we're working our little arses off. Please read our full profile, as we're SUPER FUCKING BUSY, but we really miss having couchsurfers, and want to make a real effort to squeeze them back into our overflowing lives.

Some requirements:
Sundays only, it's the only evening of the week we have free. You're welcome to send your desperate sob stories for other days of the week, we are open to helping people out in an emergency.
No multiday requests. Sorry, we just don't have the resources.
We don't finish our food stall's clean up until 7pm on a Sunday. You're welcome to hang at the farm stand during the day, drop off your bags with us, but we can't help with any rides. We don't share keys with guests, so you'll have to be ok arriving late.
We like to party on a Sunday, you've got to be pretty up for it too!
One person only, we simple do not have the space for more.
No masks in the home.

Music, Movies, and Books

We listen to BBC 6 Music at every opportunity. Father John Misty is a particular favorite of Nick's, old jazz standards of Frances'
We are voracious readers when time permits, Nick now a convert to e-readers and Frances still stuck on paper. A shared favorite author is Stephen King, currently both devouring the Expanse series, but out interests are broad!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We've quit everything to become farmers. In this day and age. Which is nuts.

Teach, Learn, Share

We're all about regenerative agriculture right now!
