I'm 26 years old and quit my job to travel the world for a year with my fiancée Helen. Travel is our passion; learning about new cultures, seeing how people live and making friends around the world. Trying different food and drink from around the world is also pretty fun!
Our current home is Leeds, England but I grew up in Leicestershire and Helen is from Essex.
I'll be changing career when back in UK to become a rural land surveyor.... (Can't get enough of the outdoors!) and Helen is a dentist, taking an early career break!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

While traveling we try to live like locals as much as possible, and have found we always enjoy 'home stays' the most as they offer just that. We decided couch surfing will be a great way to meet some like minded people during our travels.

Interesses

I love the outdoors. Hiking and trail walking are great ways to unwind the stresses of the week and see new interesting places you didn't know existed. Scuba diving is a new interest - having dived in Thailand, Sumatra, Lombok, Bali and the Philippines, I've definitely caught the diving bug! I'd love to get to the blue hole one day. I enjoy real ale and pubs, nothing quite like a beer by an open fire in a cosy pub after a long day outdoors. As a couple, we love to cook, and tasting new flavours and trying new recipes is a nice distraction in our busy lives back at home! You might not guess it from meeting me, but I practice meditation regularly, with an interest in mindfulness, tantric and yogic meditation. In Bali we completed a silent meditation and yoga retreat which was a great experience.
