About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to explore the world, but not like most tourist by staying put in one miserable hotel, but to go around the country and be part of it as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
I'm a perhaps a little strange to most people. I'm frightingly cheerful most of the time and there is almost nothing that can upset or anger me. Cruelty I just laugh of and I'm generally a person who takes life not too seriously. I'm a man who is extremely curious and when I'm somewhere unknown I want to learn about it. So expect a lot of questions about who you are! I love listening to people and hear their stories about their lives. I'm also a person who adores history and I can spend, as my father says it, hours at a heap of old rocks. I'm extremely impulsive!
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is a simple one and I state it with this simple sentence:
We must undertake something, so that we have not lived in vain, so that we leave a imprint on the sand of time.
Make your lives worth the time given to it, don't screw with it and don't think making others miserable is worthwhile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate at first as a interested person who is curious what couch surfing is, since a friend told me about it. Later I would like to do some couch surfing myself and perhaps later even host, but then that would be at my second adres in Antwerp City and, that's more a sleeping place for myself, but we'll see into that when the time is there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have no experience! Love that.
Interests
Movies, I adore movies.
Russia, yes a country can be an intrest
People, I love talking to people and getting to know them.
History, I have a great interest in history of a lot of things.
Food, I love eating and I love cooking (yet, I suck at that)

Music, Movies, and Books
Elizabeth R, a BBC production on the life of Elizabeth I of England, great miniserie, very accurate.
Hitler: Rise of Evil: Great movie adaptation of his rise to power. May it never happen again!
V for Vendetta: Great movie which is not only about action and blood in my eyes.
Imperium Augustus: Great movie adaptation of the live of Octavius or Augustus, first Emperor of Rome.
Rose Red: great horror movie written by Stephen King. Not bloody to be bloody or disgusting to disgust.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
An amazing thing I did in my life was the time I went with my year in High School to Paris for 3 days. We were visiting Versailles and you have there these little audio guide devices. I was friendly asked (read: forced) by the teachers to listen and transelate the entire thing for them, effectively giving them the tour and I didn't even get paid!
Teach, Learn, Share
What might I be able to share? A wealth of little bits of knowledge about history. Also I can always try to explain to outsiders what the hell is happening in Belgium between the Flemish and Walloon people, but only ask at your own risk. No outsider really gets it. Things I want to learn is habits of people beyond my own country and their language (especially Russian; I know I'm a fanatic). Also I adore cooking so having fun in the kitchen and learn the locale cuisine would be superb!
