Hmm...keep going I guess??!! :p.
I'm a 25 years old French boy who's dramatically yearning to travel!! I've studied English and Spanish in Lyon. I've only travelled in Australia, Spain, Italy, Portugal and the British Isles for the moment but I intend to do much more!!
I heard from Couchsurfing by a friend of mine I knew in Sevilla, and so far I've always been more than happy to be part of all this fantastic project.
What I like most??? Speaking foreign languages with backpackers who also love to have a sit and a drink, or a typical French "apéro" talking about how we could change the world^^
My dream is to teach French and English abroad, and one day create my own association for languages and foreign cultures on the model of this place in Lyon you absolutely have to check out if you're going there
I get easily interested in things, and once you got me on a nice topic I'll just spend hours reading and discovering more about it. As I said before, I'm crazy about foreign languages. I just feel frustrated when I cannot communicate with people, so that's why I'm always learning at least one language all the time!
A bit lame to write about that here, I much prefer to discuss that with you :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've now joined the Couchsurfing community for six years, but I have been out of touch for like two years, which is a lot :(. Though, the couch surfing spirit is something which is genuinely connected to my way of thinking and behaving with people.:-) Having a network of friends worldwide has always been a dream of mine.
Though, I hate the uniformization of minds and globalized thought-makers that mass travelling is getting to generate more and more, so just keep in mind that we are all different, we don't all eat McDonalds or listen to the last crap that hit the top first position in the American music head lists. There's a million way to experience life and think, so respect it and do not take your cultural references for the only legitimate.
I've been hosted by quite a few people and hosted as well many!! I tend to feel very comfortable with foreigners (multiculturalism is my credo ^^ so don't hesitate to come to my house, we're all very open-minded and eager to share around a nice bottle of wine! :)
I'm kind of an eclectic guy, I like a lot of things (actually, not really fond of sports!!). Cinema, reading, music (I play the saxophone and trying out the guitar), learning foreign languages (english, spanish, italian, portuguese), surfing through the net looking for travel sites and photos, going out with friends and discover all good places (restaurant, bars, parcs...), photography, nature, news of the world (BBC, CNN, other international channels), history, geography (I can spend hours learning a map by heart!!) and architecture.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love going to the cinema, especially for historical, action, comical, psychological.
Music, I listen to everything except rap, particularly keen on world music, lounge, trip-hop, chill-out, I have no particular group that i would listen to more. And for books everything that's worth reading. Now with my studies I tend to read more essays than anything.
If you want to know more, come to my house!
I really love when people advise me books to read, groups to listen to, this is the way I like to discover new things! So you're more than welcome.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life was when I saw Ayers Rock, in the center of Australia. What I felt at this very moment cannot be explained, personnal feelings...and others but too long to explain..
Teach, Learn, Share
I would not pretend to be able to teach anyone something, cause I'm no hero and I prefer to just interact with people. If you consider that I can bring you something by what I tell you, then take it, cause I would be more than happy to do the same with you :)
Though, I can definitely teach you French or help you improve your English or Spanish.
