I'm 40 years old, working as a writer/director for film. I'm a free spirit, passionate about the things I do and believe in. Curious about other people/cultures/life in general, with an abundant love for life.
I'm half Czech, half Palestinian, but I grew up in Germany (never really felt at home there). As far as I can think back, I wanted to leave and find a home someplace else. And I did: first in in Paris, studying at the film school for 9 months, then 4 years in Los Angeles, and now, since 2003 I live in Italy.
I'm 50 years old, managing a therapeutic community for mentally illpatients. I have a 10-year-old daughter, who lives half of the week with her mother and half of the week with us. I love to cook and good wine (FISAR certified Sommelier) to go with the food.
Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We just started, so we have to find out yet what will happen... we have a very limited space but we'd love to host people. We like to meet people from different cultures, whether that's going to happen in Rome (hosting) or in other people's places (surfing).
None yet, since we just signed up to CS.
Besides storytelling and cinema, which I made into my profession, I love music: Jazz, classical music (opera!), Latin, Indie Pop (Vinicio Capossela, Peppe Voltarelli are my Italian favourites).
Whenever I find some time, I like to cook and even more so make sweets (cakes - hmmm....)
The sea!! love to surf (still have my longboard in L.A.)
