Hi there! I'm a roller derby player, writer & beer enthusiast trying to see as much of the world as I can, one couch at a time

I work for a brewery and am often on the road working events. It's fun and gives me a chance to meet new people, which is the same reason why I'm on couchsurfing. I used to be a full-time reporter, but now I do it on a freelance basis. I enjoy that gig because I get to hear people's stories and share them with the world.

I love trying new things like hiking a new mountain, eating a new dish or exploring a new city. I also love to watch movies, play board games and listen to all genres of music. I'm hoping to see as much of the world as I can while making friends along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Generally I'm looking for a place to crash or cool new people to meet while I'm exploring a new area.

I have roommates and animals of my own so it's difficult for me to host at this point in my life. I'm a great crasher though because I bring beer for my hosts. Irish Death, anyone?

I've had great couchsurfing experiences in my years since joining: I surfed with some awesome people in Anchorage and Missouri and have hosted equally awesome people in Kodiak, AK.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking the Great Wall in China and exploring Beijing and Shanghai, visiting the 2010 World Expo, bear viewing in Kodiak, Alaska, visiting the Grand Canyon.
