I'm a writer trying to figure out why people volunteer and what happens when they do. I'm going to be traveling around the world donating my time and talking to others doing the same.

ABOUT ME

I'm a writer who moves around a lot tracking down stories and meeting new people. I'm going to be in New Orleans from Sept 2009 until Thanksgiving talking to people volunteering with the rebuild. If you're in NOLA, chances are I'd love to chat with you and maybe crash on your couch.

Living most of the time in New York City we've housed a steady stream of travelers passing through. It's cramped and over-priced, but it beat sleeping on the subway.
