ABOUT ME

I am a quite person, don't like parties, like watching movies with friends, or going to an art exhibition with someone I have not seen in a long time. I like reading books for days in a row, not seeing anyone at all, and then do something needless with someone I care about a lot, enjoying their company all the more.

PHILOSOPHY

There is no single moment. Every moment repeats itself eternally in all other moments, and thus forms what we percieve as reality; therefore what we call a moment is made up of echoes of other moments, which, of course, leaves the question of where the first echoes came from.

Interests

The ways people form an understanding of and learn to interact with their surroundings. How people live their lives in spite of all odds.

Music, Movies, and Books

German romantic poetry and philosophy, especially Hölderlin. Also, as an antidote to their heaviness, the great antiromantic Nietzsche. Love Marcel Proust, his In Search of Lost Time has completely changed my way of thinking, hope to read him in french some day. With regards to movies, I am a fan of both Akira Kurosawa and Andrei Tarkovsky (whose father was a great poet). I listen to a lot of classical music, especially Bach, Beethoven and Schubert, and wish i could afford to go to concerts more often, but i suppose that will have to wait till i grow up and get a real job. Experimental electronic music (Badun, Rumpistol) and jazz (Coltrane, Davis) have also gained a place in my heart, but both are genres I wish I knew more well.
